DeepSeek Harness Desktop

Packages deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness into a desktop app for three platforms: Electron desktop shell + built-in Node runtime + full Harness environment — just double-click to use it.

• One-click start: double-click DeepSeekHarness.exe → backend launches automatically → opens the DeepSeek Harness Web UI directly
• Built-in Node 24: self-contained runtime; users don't need to install Node.js
• Complete environment: all Harness dependencies are bundled (links have been materialized into real files)
• Frameless window: UI fills the whole window, with minimize / maximize / close buttons embedded in the top-right corner
• Single instance: starting it repeatedly won't launch multiple backends
• No admin required: on Windows it installs to %LocalAppData%\Programs\DeepSeek Harness

All three platforms are built automatically by GitHub Actions (.github/workflows/build.yml matrix). Pushing a v* tag publishes to Release automatically; you can also trigger manually via workflow_dispatch.

🔧 Build Process

Locally you need: Node.js ≥ 22, pnpm 10 (note: pnpm 10 is required; pnpm 11 removed the hoisted linker); on Windows you additionally need Inno Setup 7. All three CI platforms are fully automated — no local environment needed.

1. Prepare Harness dependencies (pnpm 10 + hoisted)

🚀 Usage

1. Double-click DeepSeekHarnessSetup-*.exe to install (no admin needed; creates a desktop shortcut automatically)
2. Double-click the "DeepSeek Harness" icon on the desktop
3. First run: set your DeepSeek API Key in the Web interface

⚠️ Notes

• User data is stored in ~/.dsh (separate from the install directory) and persists after uninstall
• The service listens on http://127.0.0.1:3080; closing the window stops it
