Preset Plugins

Plugins from the first-launch guide, optionally installed:

• DSH Market — Browse, search, and one-click install community plugins (recommended)
• DSH Better Sidebar — VSCode-style right sidebar, isolated per session (recommended)
• DSH Rewind — Conversation rewind within the same window, without creating new session branches; includes lightweight workspace backup so files can be restored on rewind (recommended)

The preset plugin list is maintained on the desktop side. To avoid unstable presets causing app issues, please open a request on deepseek-harness-desktop/issues to add or update presets.

Built-in Plugins

First-party plugins bundled:

• DSH Tauri — Communication channel for the Tauri 2 shell
• DSH Tauri UI — Custom settings sidebar for the Tauri 2 shell
• DSH Tauri Worktree — Creates an isolated Git Worktree per session, with support for checking out to a local branch or archiving/discarding
• DSH Tauri Panel Extension — Skills/MCP management and skill repository import
• DSH Tauri Panel Scheduler — Create scheduled tasks for daily, interval, workday, or weekly; executes in isolated Agent sessions with execution records retained
• DSH Tauri Turn Rewind — Records a private Git snapshot per Agent turn, shows file change cards, and reverts the turn's changes under conflict protection
• DSH Tauri Session — Replaces workspace deletion with archiving, and provides an "Archived Chats" settings page supporting search, sort, group, project filter, and un-archive
• DSH Tauri Pet — Manages Chat / Codex desktop pets, preset pet download, resource pack import, and session activity status
• DSH Tauri Rightclick — Adds common actions to sessions, workspaces, body text, links, and input boxes

Quick Start

Download the installer for your platform from Releases. After installation, simply launch the app.

macOS (Homebrew): You can also install in one shot via Homebrew:

brew install dsh-tauri-desk/desktop/deepseek-harness

On first launch, the Node runtime and the Harness kernel are downloaded (if dsh is already installed, that version is used instead), after which you are taken directly to the Harness UI at http://127.0.0.1:3080. From then on, everything runs fully locally with no internet connection required.

System requirements: Windows 10+ · macOS 10.15+ · Linux (AppImage / .deb) · Internet connection required on first run · Harness kernel 0.1.5-rc.1 or later

Note for Linux Wayland (PikaOS / GNOME Wayland / Ubuntu 22.04+): AppImage may black-screen or crash under Wayland due to WebKitGTK; the app automatically handles common cases.

If it still black-screens/crashes:

Use the .deb package instead (verified on PikaOS 4 Wayland), or run manually with WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 GDK_BACKEND=x11 ./AppImage. If icons don't appear, copy the app's hicolor icons to ~/.local/share/icons and run update-desktop-database.

Harness releases are built and published by deepseek-harness-pkg. Each launch compares against the latest release; if the local install is outdated, it prompts a download for the update; if GitHub is unreachable, the local install is retained. Locally installed cores installed via CLI globally take precedence.

[!WARNING] Dev preview — upstream dsh is still evolving rapidly with breaking changes; this project follows along.

[!NOTE] Security notice — dsh has local code execution capabilities. For learning / research / testing only; please use in a trusted, isolated environment.
