Manifest validInstance segmentation goes a step further than object detection. Not only does it identify individual objects within an image, but it also segments them out from the rest of the image. For instance segmentation of the 80 COCO object categories in an image, it outputs bounding boxes, masks, confidence scores, and class labels.
