🚀 What Is This?

dsh-plugin-canvas is a handy add‑on for the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) application. It gives you a special "Canvas Preview" tab where you can view HTML design mockups directly inside DSH. It also includes a canvas_preview model tool that helps you blur out private information and safely show web pages in a protected sandbox. The interface uses clean, simple native UI elements — no complicated setups.

In plain words: if you work with HTML prototypes or need to preview designs without exposing sensitive data, this plugin makes it easy and safe.

🎯 Why Use This Plugin?

  • 🖼️ See your HTML designs instantly – Open a design mockup in a new tab without leaving DSH.
  • 🔒 Privacy protection built‑in – Apply blur masks to parts of the page you don't want shown.
  • 🛡️ Sandboxed iframe rendering – Preview risky or untrusted content in an isolated environment, so nothing can harm your system.
  • 🧩 Native UI feel – No fancy framework; it just works with DSH's standard look.

📥 How to Download and Install (Windows)

Follow these simple steps. You don't need any technical knowledge.

  1. Visit the download link – Click the big green button below to go to the official download page.

    ⬇️ Download dsh-plugin-canvas

  2. Find the file – On that page, you will see a list of files. Look for the one that matches your Windows system (usually named dsh-plugin-canvas.zip or similar).
  3. Download the ZIP – Click on it and save it to your computer (typically to your "Downloads" folder).
  4. Extract the ZIP – Right‑click the downloaded ZIP file and choose Extract All… from the menu. Windows will ask where to put the files. Pick a folder you can remember, like C:\dsh-plugin-canvas.
  5. Run the application – After extraction, open the folder and double‑click the file named dsh-plugin-canvas.exe (or start.bat if you see it). That's it — the plugin will launch and be ready to use inside DSH.

Note: If you get a smart‑screen warning, click "More info" then "Run anyway". This is normal for new unsigned apps.

⚙️ Using the Plugin for the First Time

After launching, the plugin should automatically appear as a new tab in DSH. If you don't see it, go to DSH's Plugins menu and enable dsh-plugin-canvas.

Once active, you'll see a toolbar with two main actions:

  • ① Open HTML Prototype – Load any HTML file from your computer to view it in the Canvas tab.
  • ② Apply Privacy Blur – Select an area on the preview and click the blur button to mask it. The masking is saved with the session, so you don't have to redo it every time.

For the sandbox rendering, the plugin automatically routes all iframe content through a secure sandbox. You don't need to do anything special — just enjoy the extra safety.

🛠️ System Requirements

This plugin is designed for Windows 10 or 11 (64‑bit). You also need DeepSeek Harness already installed on your computer. If you don't have DSH, you can get it from the official DeepSeek website.

Disk space: less than 50 MB required. RAM: no extra requirements beyond what DSH needs.

❓ Troubleshooting & FAQ

Q: The plugin won't start – I get a missing DLL error.
A: Make sure you extracted the ZIP completely. Do not run it directly from the ZIP file. Also, try right‑clicking the EXE and selecting "Run as administrator".

Q: I don't see the Canvas tab in DSH.
A: Go to DSH's Plugins menu and select Manage Plugins. Find dsh-plugin-canvas in the list and ensure it's enabled. Then restart DSH.

Q: Can I use this on macOS or Linux?
A: Not yet. This version is Windows‑only. But the code is open source, so you could compile it for other systems if you're a developer.

Q: The blur mask doesn't stay after I close and reopen the preview.
A: That's expected for now – blur masks are session‑based. We're working on saving them to project files in a future update.

✨ What's New (Version 1.0)

  • Initial release of dsh-plugin-canvas
  • Native UI integration with DSH
  • Privacy blur tool
  • Sandbox iframe rendering
  • Lightweight and fast loading

🧑‍💻 For Developers (Brief)

If you're familiar with coding, the plugin is built on the DSH plugin API. It registers a new tab and a custom model tool named canvas_preview. You can fork the repo and modify the UI to your liking. The code is clean and well‑commented.

📦 How to Update

Visit the same download link every few weeks. Download the newest ZIP, extract it over the old folder (overwrite all files), and restart DSH. Your settings will be preserved.
