dsh-ads injects fictional ads into the sidebar, chat, mid-inference, and bottom-right corner. It appears to pause inference, but the model keeps working; replies and tool calls just wait for the ad to finish.

The plugin isn't just making fun of itself. Public plugins on GitHub with the dsh-plugin topic that have been updated within the last two weeks are eligible for the recommendation slot; clicking the ad opens the real repository. The repo can still be discovered even if it is moved to a personal account or a different organization.

Two Flavors of Internet Slop

Switch DSH's "Settings → Language" and the current page immediately swaps in a whole new set of assets, copy, and interactions, no refresh needed. Chinese mode leans into browser-games, God of Wealth, and "This time for sure", with two Tanwan Blue Whale posters auto-rotating every 20 seconds; English mode is fake antivirus, weird tricks, and actual gameplay*.

Installation

The recommended way is to install directly from GitHub into DSH's web profile:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:Nagi-ovo/dsh-ads

You can run dsh --profile web --dump-config to confirm the plugin is present in the final configuration. To modify the source code, clone the repository and run dsh plugin --profile web add . in the repo directory; build artifacts are already committed, so no extra build step is needed. Users of the community plugin-registry can also install from "Settings → Plugins".

Each ad slot can be toggled in "Settings → Ads (unofficial)"; choices persist across restarts.

Free ad slots

Public plugins with the dsh-plugin topic are automatically rotated into the carousel. To specify your own copy or images, see the submission guide and open a PR. Exposure records are stored only in your local browser.

The same author's dsh-visualize lets the model draw interactive UIs directly in the chat. This is the one legitimate ad in the whole README.
