lin-answer-now
IdentifiedMakes the agent answer as soon as it has one: injects a deliver-first rule into the system prompt and escalates reminders when tool calls pile up without an answer.
answer-now
English | 中文
A DeepSeek Harness plugin that pushes the agent to deliver its answer as soon as it has one, instead of burning your time on extra queries.
What it does
- Injects instructions into the system prompt — stop querying the moment you can answer, never repeat a query, prefer one decisive query over several narrow ones, no filler tool calls.
- Counts tool calls per agent per turn — and when the count crosses a threshold, injects an escalating reminder into the agent's inbox ("answer now instead of querying further" → "stop calling tools and produce your final answer").
- Resets on new user messages, so each of your turns starts fresh.
It is advisory-only: it never blocks or rejects a tool call, so it can't break a legitimate workflow.
Install
From npm (prebuilt, no build step):
dsh plugin --profile desktop add lin-answer-now
Or from GitHub source:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add https://github.com/lin1213812138/lin-answer-now
Then restart dsh web (or reload the page) and you're done.
Can't reach npm? Install straight from the GitHub source — this needs no npm account or login:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add https://github.com/lin1213812138/lin-answer-now
Installing on another machine (中文说明见 README.zh.md)
Each machine has its own DSH profile, so the plugin isn't shared automatically. On the other computer, just run one of the install commands above (use dsh profile list to find the profile name if it isn't desktop), then restart dsh web (or reload the page).
Local
link:installs: if you installed from a local folder with alink:entry (development copy), the plugin is bound to that folder on disk — keep the folder around or the link breaks. Published npm/GitHub installs are self-contained and don't have this dependency.
