Preset Plugins

Onboarding offers to install plugins:

• DSH Market — Browse, search and one-click install community plugins (recommended)
• DSH Better Sidebar — VSCode-like right sidebar, isolated per session (recommended)
• DSH Rewind — Rewind conversations within the same window, without ever creating a new session branch; includes a lightweight workspace backup that can restore files when rewinding (recommended)

The preset plugin list is maintained by the desktop app. To avoid unstable preset plugins causing software issues, please file a request at deepseek-harness-desktop/issues if you need to add or update a preset.

Built-in Plugins

Bundled with the installer:

• DSH Tauri — Provides communication channels with the Tauri 2 shell
• DSH Tauri UI — Provides a custom settings sidebar for the Tauri 2 shell
• DSH Tauri Worktree — Creates an isolated Git Worktree for each session, with support for checking out to a local branch or archiving/discarding
• DSH Tauri Panel Extension — Skills/MCP management and skill repository import
• DSH Tauri Panel Scheduler — Create scheduled tasks for daily, interval, weekday or weekly schedules; runs in independent Agent sessions and keeps execution records
• DSH Tauri Turn Rewind — Records a private Git snapshot per Agent turn, displays file change cards, and undoes that turn's changes under conflict protection
• DSH Tauri Session — Changes workspace deletion to archiving, and provides an "Archived Chats" settings page with support for search, sort, grouping, project filtering and unarchiving
• DSH Tauri Pet — Manages Chat / Codex desktop pets, preset pet downloads, resource pack import and session activity status
• DSH Tauri Rightclick — Adds common operations for sessions, workspaces, body text, links and input boxes

Quick Start

Download the installer for your platform from Releases. After installing, just launch it.

macOS (Homebrew): You can also install with one command via Homebrew:

brew install dsh-tauri-desk/desktop/deepseek-harness

On first run, it downloads the Node runtime and the Harness kernel (or uses the installed version if dsh is already installed), then goes directly to the Harness interface at http://127.0.0.1:3080; afterwards it runs fully locally with no internet connection required.

System requirements: Windows 10+ · macOS 10.15+ · Linux (AppImage / .deb) · Network required on first run · Harness kernel 0.1.5-rc.1 or later

Linux Wayland note (PikaOS / GNOME Wayland / Ubuntu 22.04+): AppImage may black-screen/crash under Wayland due to WebKitGTK; the app already handles common cases automatically.

If it still black-screens/crashes:

Use .deb instead (verified on PikaOS 4 Wayland), or manually WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 GDK_BACKEND=x11 ./AppImage. If icons don't show, copy the app's hicolor icons to ~/.local/share/icons and run update-desktop-database.

The Harness distribution is built and released by deepseek-harness-pkg. Each startup checks the latest release and prompts a download if the local version is outdated; if GitHub is unreachable, the local installation is kept. A locally installed core installed globally via CLI takes precedence.

[!WARNING] Developer preview — The upstream dsh is still iterating quickly and has breaking changes; this project follows along in sync.
