A DeepSeek Harness visual plugin for the new conversation screen only. Fixed Chinese glyphs form a quiet surface. Their opacity flows like mist; clicks create outward ripples, with sparse blue accent clusters.

Companion editor / 配套编辑器

Glyph Studio is the standalone editor behind this plugin. Use its parameter panel to explore text, gradients, ripples and accent colors. This repository contains the DSH integration.

Install / 安装

Tested and declared compatible with DSH 0.2.1-rc.2 only. Desktop on Windows was tested. Other versions and platforms are unverified. The manifest restricts installation to that DSH version.

1. Download local-dsh-xiaoyaoyou-0.1.0.tgz from Releases.

2. Open a terminal in the download directory and run:

   dsh plugin --profile desktop add ./local-dsh-xiaoyaoyou-0.1.0.tgz
   

3. Restart DeepSeek Harness. Open Plugins and confirm that 逍遥游 · 字间水面 / Xiaoyaoyou · Glyph Water is enabled.

4. Open a new conversation.

The package is distributed through GitHub Releases, not npm. Its package identifier is @local/dsh-xiaoyaoyou. private: true prevents accidental npm publication; it does not prevent installation from the release archive.

Disable it from the Plugins page. To uninstall:

dsh plugin --profile desktop remove @local/dsh-xiaoyaoyou

Behavior / 效果

• Fixed 18 × 20 px glyph grid, using a passage from Zhuangzi's Xiaoyaoyou.
• Flowing opacity fields; glyphs do not translate or jitter.
• Click ripples with a narrow crest and a fading wake.
• Sparse, irregular clusters of accent-colored glyphs.
• Pale radial gradient confined to the new conversation content area.
• Input fields, buttons, menus and links do not trigger ripples.
• Hidden windows pause animation; reduced-motion preference shows a still field.
• Leaving the hero screen releases the canvas, animation and event listeners.

The supplied preset uses propagation speed 1200, idle depth 0.23, threshold 0.31, and four accent clusters of seven glyphs each. The original tuning panel is not included in this plugin.

Customize and build / 修改与构建

Requires Node.js 22 or newer. No package dependencies are required. React is supplied by the DSH frontend module loader.

Edit theme.json, then rebuild and reinstall the archive. Do not edit generated client.js directly. No localhost server or original Glyph Studio checkout is needed.

Integration and limits / 接入边界

The plugin registers through DSH's window.__ModuleLoader__ and shell.overlay slot. The adapter attaches a decorative layer to:

This semantic DOM contract was verified against the desktop's bundled 0.2.1-rc.2 frontend. It is not a guaranteed public background-slot API. If DSH changes that contract, the adapter must be updated. If no matching node exists, the plugin displays nothing.

There are no agent tools, network requests, telemetry or conversation-text reads. The decoration uses aria-hidden and does not capture pointer events. It does not modify DSH's application files or global theme settings.

Verification / 验证

Verified on 2026-10-18:

• New conversation: glyph field and click ripple visible.
• Existing conversation and Plugins page: no plugin background.
• Return to new conversation: background returns.
• Automated lifecycle tests: mount once, unmount, dispose, pause when hidden, reduced motion, and no restart from deferred font readiness after disposal.

No test message was sent to a model. The first-send transition was not tested end to end; its lifecycle state change is covered by the adapter tests. Other DSH releases, dark mode, platforms and the Web profile are unverified.
